MX Setup on the Yalla!! V2 – The Question we got asked most

Hello Reader,

It’s been a couple of weeks since we launched the new Yalla!! V2 – and we’re stoked about all the messages and positive feedback we’ve received since.

By far the most common question has been about mullet compatibility: Can I run a 27.5” rear wheel on the new Yalla!! V2? What are the benefits? And what exactly do I need?

In short: Yes, you can. And since so many of you asked, here’s a quick summary of everything you need to know about the MX setup:

Who is the MX setup for?
Smaller riders can benefit from the smaller rear wheel – especially in steep terrain or on big hits, where it offers noticeably more clearance and freedom of movement behind the saddle. But anyone who likes to enter corners late and aggressively will also appreciate the more agile handling that comes with the smaller rear wheel.

How does it work?
We’ve added more clearance in key areas of the Yalla!! V2 frame, so all sizes now work seamlessly with our existing MX Lower Shock Mount. This mount slightly raises the bottom bracket to compensate for the smaller rear wheel – keeping the proven geometry intact.

What do I need?
All you need to run the Yalla!! V2 in an MX setup is the MX Lower Shock Mount and a 27.5” rear wheel. Swapping the shock mount is a quick and simple process.

Find the MX Lower Shock Mount in our shop.

If you're ordering a rolling chassis, you can configure it directly as an MX setup – we’ll ship it with the correct mount already installed.

You’ll find everything else you need to know about the Yalla!! V2 on this page.

Still have questions? Just reply to this email or book a consultation – either online or in person at our showroom.

As always – have fun out there, and thanks for the support!

Cheers

Hello Reader, February kicked off with a trip to Genio in Taiwan — the factory where every RAAW is born. Seeing the team and spending time at the factory is always a highlight. We’ve already received two 40-foot shipping containers filled with Madonna and Yalla frames this year, and additional spring orders were in their final production phase during my visit. Seeing everything firsthand, learning something new each time, and simply spending time with the Genio crew in Taiwan is always...

Hello Reader, If you don’t only read our newsletter but also regularly keep up with mountain bike media, you’ll know that a lot is happening in the industry right now. It’s tough to see companies struggling, athletes having a hard time finding support, and you, the rider being left with so much uncertainty. Of course, it’s something we’re observing as closely as possible, and we do notice changes in our day-to-day operations as well. But so far, we can’t complain — sales are keeping the bills...

Hello Reader, During the holidays, we fully close our company once a year. Holiday season break. Everything comes to a halt: no meetings, no orders being packed, and no testrides at our HQ. And that’s good and important. A year ago, when our holiday season break started, I immediately felt that I was exhausted. Not just from the pre-Christmas rush, but worn from a long period. To make sure this wouldn’t turn into the second burnout of my life – I knew the signs all too well from the first one...
