RAAW News 01 / 2026 (RAAW Riders Edition)

Hello Reader,

If you don’t only read our newsletter but also regularly keep up with mountain bike media, you’ll know that a lot is happening in the industry right now. It’s tough to see companies struggling, athletes having a hard time finding support, and you, the rider being left with so much uncertainty.

Of course, it’s something we’re observing as closely as possible, and we do notice changes in our day-to-day operations as well. But so far, we can’t complain — sales are keeping the bills paid, and our goal remains simple: to keep doing what we know we do best.

With that in mind, we’ve been working hard over the past months, preparing a lot of exciting new projects for 2026. New products, athletes, test events, local happenings — just things that really excite us. One of the highlights will be our 10-year anniversary this year. Crazy!

While I can’t tease too much of what’s still in the pipeline, we’ve already kicked off January with some very cool news. So without further ado, let’s dive into what’s been going on — and into an awesome 2026!

For those who’ve been waiting: we’re finally getting a fresh delivery of Yalla! frames, ready to order right now. We’ve also just launched updates to the Jibb LT and Madonna, now featuring new dropouts shared with the Yalla. And if you’re not quite ready to pull the trigger on a new bike yet, we’ve got the test event dates for the coming season all set.

Before we start looking ahead to the new race season, Andrew Driscoll has also given us some insights into the US Nationals — stacked with world-level riders — where he secured a super solid P16.

Oh, and you now have the chance to win a Madonna complete bike featuring the Fox Podium fork and a full XTR groupset. How rad would that be to start 2026 off?!

Here’s what’s been going on in the world of RAAW so far this year — enjoy reading and watching!

The Yalla! Back in Stock

After a couple of months without our beloved dual-crown gravity moped, we’re finally awaiting a fresh batch of frames. They’re expected to be back in stock by the end of February and are available to order right now.

Test Events 2026 & Yard Sale

Sophia is in charge of our test events, and last year she helped many hundreds of people take the opportunity to test a Jibb or a Madonna. For 2026, we’ve once again put together a great line-up of events where you’ll be able to do the same.

We’ll kick things off with the Bikefestival in Freiburg and the Green Days in Reschen in May, followed by Glemmride in Saalbach in July. And if these dates don’t align with your plans, you can always make an appointment to test a Jibb LT or Madonna directly at our HQ.

For those interested in buying a 2025 test bike, we’ll have around 10 Jibbs and Madonnas available, plus a bunch of used-but-great parts on offer at our Yard Sale on March 21st. We’ll share more details on the bikes available in our next monthly roundup.

Jibb LT & Madonna Update

In case you spent last week in full eat, sleep, ride, repeat mode: we’ve launched an update to both the Jibb LT and the Madonna. Both bikes get new dropouts, and the Jibb now comes in LT spec as standard. You can learn everything about the Jibb LT here, and the Madonna here.

Video: Home State Hero: Andrew Driscoll Races the 2025 US Open

Many big names attended the US Open — a race that takes place right in Andrew’s backyard. Home advantage or extra pressure? Andrew takes you through his weekend, with all the ups, downs, learnings, and a super solid P16. Way to go Andrew, we can’t wait to see what you’ll do in the coming season!

MTB-News User Awards - Win a Madonna!

Yes, it’s that simple: fill out the MTB-News User Awards survey (and make sure to pick your favorite brand — I think it helps with the odds… maybe, maybe not), and you’ll have a shot at winning a Madonna complete bike, equipped with the Fox Podium fork and a full XTR groupset, in the size of your choice. The survey closes on Sunday, so be sure to get it done soon!

Hello Reader, During the holidays, we fully close our company once a year. Holiday season break. Everything comes to a halt: no meetings, no orders being packed, and no testrides at our HQ. And that’s good and important. A year ago, when our holiday season break started, I immediately felt that I was exhausted. Not just from the pre-Christmas rush, but worn from a long period. To make sure this wouldn’t turn into the second burnout of my life – I knew the signs all too well from the first one...

Hello Reader, Just before the year comes to an end, there’s still plenty to report from the world of RAAW. In this edition, you’ll find everything about a great deal on black frames, learn more about my journey to RAAW, enjoy some serious steeze from Kilian, and check out our fresh new 2026 apparel. Enjoy reading and watching! All Black Frames – 10% Off The first sample of the very first Madonna frame I ever ordered was in black — the decision was made long before. Why? I never liked the bike...

Hello Reader, The yearly cycle at RAAW usually follows a familiar rhythm. Things get busy early in the season with product launches, test events, sales, and customer support, typically peaking in June or July. Our team of nine is all hands on deck, and at times it can get pretty hectic. As good as that is – and as grateful as I am for things going well and so much happening in the world of RAAW – I sometimes look forward to the end of the year. By November, things start to slow down a little....
