It’s the same every year: one day you’re riding the trails in shorts and a light jersey, and the next day the forest suddenly feels like autumn – summer seems to be over way too soon again. Well, at least here in Germany. Of course, we don’t let that dampen our spirits and are looking forward to as many golden Indian Summer days as possible, and maybe even the occasional mud bath. And if the weather isn’t quite your thing, you’ll find plenty of exciting content in this edition of the RAAW News: new tests of the Jibb V2 and Yalla!, and great videos and reports from the RAAW Ambassadors.

​ENDURO: Yalla! in Downhill Bike Group Test​

The test team at ENDURO took our Yalla! to Morgins in the Portes-du-Soleil region, where they put it through its paces alongside 5 other downhill bikes. The verdict: “If you’re looking for a bike that’s easy to work on and easy to control on high-speed descents, the Yalla! is a reliable companion.” The test is available in the latest issue of the free ENDURO Magazine app (iOS/Android) and will soon be published on the magazine's website.

​Jibb V2 in (German) BIKE review: “A consistently solid all-around package!”​

In the latest test, the Jibb V2 not only breaks the frame stiffness scale of BIKE Magazine (sorry, not sorry!), the testers also praise its playful character and how confidently it handles even demanding terrain. The test is available - in German - for free on the magazine's website – enjoy the read.

​MTB-News: With the Jibb V2 in Maribor (including video)​

The team of MTB-News.de also put our little Jack Russell Terrier to the test but weren’t satisfied with a “normal” trail bike test. Instead, they wanted to find out how the Jibb performs in really tough terrain. To do so, they spent a day in the downhill World Cup-famous Bike Park Maribor. ​Video: “Fallen Leaves” by Kilian Buhl, featuring Yalla!​

Every biker dreams of capturing their passion in the one, perfect video. For RAAW Ambassador Kilian, this dream remained unfulfilled for a long time, as competitions got in the way, and it took a while to find the right filmmaker. But finally, in February, it was time: together with Joel and his brother Hosea, Kilian traveled to Maribor to shoot an aesthetic video that captures the joy of riding and makes you want more. Enjoy watching it!

​Enduro World Cup #5: 5000 meters of descent and a broken kneecap​

RAAW Ambassador Joni reports on what was probably his toughest race of the Enduro season, full of ups and downs. Loads of fun on the varied trails, breathtaking views, and his best stage placement of the year, but also a heavy crash that ended in a broken kneecap. Despite the injury, he fought his way to the finish line and ended up with an impressive 21st place – just 2.5 seconds short of the top 20 in the world. You can read his full report here.​

​Video: No Dig, No Ride – Trail Building with Nils Klasen​

In this video, our Ambassador Nils takes you behind the scenes and shows how he not only rides trails but also builds them. He gives us a glimpse of a few projects at the Racepark Schulenberg in Germany and shares his thoughts on trail building and why it’s so important to him.
